Dialogue on Federalism and the Role of Local Governments at Sarlahi Youth Summit 2026

Malangwa, Sarlahi, Nepal | 31 October 2026

Dr. Khim Lal Devkota, Chair of the Federalism & Localization Centre (FLC), participated as a distinguished guest and speaker at the Sarlahi Youth Summit 2026, held on 31 October–1 November 2026 in Malangwa, Sarlahi.

He inaugurated the conference and addressed a session on “Effective Implementation of Federalism and the Role of Local Governments.” His remarks highlighted the importance of strengthening federal governance, clarifying intergovernmental roles and responsibilities, and engaging young people in understanding and advancing Nepal’s federal democratic system.
